“Celebrity Weddings” is an ongoing feature at JayneStars. We watched our favorite celebrities on screen and grew up with them over the years. Now is the time to walk down the wedding aisle with them!
Congratulations to Halina Tam Siu Wan and Eric Choi Keung Wing on their wedding day! Halina and Eric held a multi-million dollar wedding celebration. The 35-year-old Halina married Eric, an insurance manager. Eric was known as a “Miss Hong Kong Killer” since he dated former beauty pageant winners.
To demonstrate his love for the bride, Eric designed Halina’s wedding gown and a Miss Hong Kong style tiara. No wonder Eric was extremely happy when he uttered, “I do!” On the other hand, Halina was speechless for several seconds before saying her marriage vows, causing everyone to laugh!
At 10 AM, Eric wore a white tuxedo to pick up the bride at the Intercontinental Hotel. As the bridesmaids were asking the groom to give the lucky packets at the door, Halina’s mother appeared to be in a rush and quickly opened the door.
The groomsmen bravely stood their ground against the bridesmaids’ devious games. They ate dark colored material off a diaper and drank a thick substance from a “urine bag.” Finally, the groom gave a speech of love to Halina and the scene became very heart-warming.
At 2 PM, Halina changed into a traditional Chinese bridal dress and wore three pairs of gold bracelets and other jewelry. Holding the groom’s hand, Halina’s face was filled with happiness as they left the hotel. The bride and groom got into a limousine and headed to Eric’s family’s house. After the traditional tea ceremony at Eric’s house, the pair went back to the hotel and exchanged wedding vows. Many friends such as [b]Eileen Yeow Ying Ying, Fiona Yuen Choi Wan, Cathy Chow Man Kei, Hong Wah, Winnie Yeung Yuen Yee[/b] and other guests were witnesses.
Eric incorporated a Miss Hong Kong theme at the wedding venue location and self-designed Halina’s tiara, hinting that the bride will always be a winner in his heart. The groom also successfully lost weight before his wedding day and declared his weight loss results at the reception.
The year of 2009 made celebrity weddings are even bigger and better. Celebrity couple, Stacy Ferguson (also known as Fergie) and Josh Duhamel, set the date for the weekend of January 9th through the 11th for their big celebrity wedding. Fergie, 33, and Josh, 36 made their New Year’s resolution to get married at the Church Estate vinyardsin Malibu. Their small ceremony was under magnolia trees which were filled with thousands of white roses. The couple’s traditional Catholic wedding had many unique ideas, which added to the celebration of their marriage together.
Fergie’s Pre-Wedding Workout
Every bride wants to be able to fit into their wedding dress and look gorgeous in it on their wedding day. Fergie, with her new role in the upcoming movie Ninewas, asked to gain weight but didn’t want to loose shape for her dress. She claimed to be working out every day before the wedding and when asked of her work out routine she responded, “A lot of hiking and doing a bunch of sit ups, working my butt off and just, you know, try to maintain and stay healthy”. She claimed to be on a serious mission to become toned before her wedding, like many other brides. Trying to create your perfect conception of your body before your wedding can be a challenge, but with a set work out routine and daily exercise it’s definitely possible. Fergie’s routine is recommended and it helped her get the perfect body before her wedding day.
Joint Bachelor and Bachelorette Party
The couple both thought that before they were to be married they wanted their family and friends to each get to know each other a little better. On January 8th, they threw a joint bachelor and bachelorette party at the Dakota Lounge in Santa Monica. They invited about 75 of their family and friends. They both felt they were against the traditional bachelor and bachelore parties so they celebrated their last night as singles together. They both tend to be away from each other so much so they thought a special week together before the wedding would be the best way to go. The guests were informed a few hours ahead of time of where the venue was. It was a simple, naughty but nice party with their loved ones to spend time together and celebrate. This is a great way to get your guests together so that they can get to know more about each other before the wedding day.
Personalized Wedding Rings
The celebrity couple each sealed their vows by exchanging H. Stern engraved rings. They were both custom-made with personal messages from one another. Fergie’s ring was a 4-carat brilliant cut diamond set among other diamonds. Also with a narrowed diamond wedding band to complete it. Josh’s ring was made of white gold with a brushed finish.
