London Fashion Week S/S 2011 Opening party

Chandeliers, champagne and a video catwalk… It was the night of London Fashion Week’s 2011 Spring / Summer lingerie collection.

The event was held at the magnificent IL Bottaccio, hosted by The Button Club and Kaja Wunder. The event was coordinated by Richard Austin Rees PR and Fashion Management.

In total there were 40 stunning models all modelling the collective brands of Mint Siren, Lascivious, Wundervall, MC Lounge and Modern Courtesan. Everywhere you turned, there were live photo shoots taking place.

Models were draped over stairs, floors and walls; posing and pouting as they modelled Velda Lauder, Modern Courtesan and Vollar Corsets.

Those models did their thing until crazy o’clock in the morning and they shined like superstars do! Not forgetting the 20 make-up artists and 12 hair stylists that gave those superstars extra shine! I have to say, I was amazed by the lingerie collections, they were feminine and elegant but as the same time sexy and edgy. The corsets and stockings certainly give Moulin Rouge a run for its money!

Special guests included singer/songwriter Pola and singer Lizzy May. They dazzled us with their insatiable voices and certainly got the party started! We were blessed by the Catwalk Professor’s electric presence and his sassy but classy outfit named ‘Take Me As I Am’ which was designed by Genaya Parris.

London Fashion Models photographer Prince Dee and Dorrell Merritt among twenty five other fashion photographers worked their camera magic through out the night. Superstar’s Eve-Yasmine was interviewed by Chelsey Baker for the World Fashion Channel! Luke Westwood and James Harverson from Edit This Media were filming the event, and the footage can be found below.
The champagne flowed, the music got louder and the lights were turned lower. It was time for the guests to party all night until the early hours. Of course Superstar Magazine and London Fashion Models could not resist the urge to strut their stuff on the catwalk turned dance floor. To everyone from behind the scenes to in front of the camera – a round of applause please as their hard work made the event a huge success! It’s safe to assume it won’t be one forgotten anytime soon; it was fashion at its finest
